A man who died Saturday from injuries suffered in a solo-vehicle crash in Corona was publicly identified.
Jose Salinas-Tapia, 22, was a Corona resident, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.
Police responded to the intersection of Parkridge Avenue and North Joy Street at about 12:40 a.m. and located a crashed black Chevy Tahoe with the driver inside, according to the Corona Police Department.
The victim now identified as Salinas-Tapia was taken to Corona Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the coroner’s office said.
It was unclear whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the deadly accident.
The cause of the crash was under investigation, and police urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash or taken video of it to contact Traffic Officer Tim Najmulski at 951-817-5844.
