Three adults were arrested on suspicion of providing a minor with alcohol during a sting operation in Hemet, police said Saturday.
Hemet police teamed up with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control on Friday to conduct a “Shoulder Tap” decoy operation, in which minors under the supervision of officers attempt to purchase alcohol from patrons visiting licensed liquor stores.
In total, 16 adults were approached by the minor decoys at seven different locations, according to police.
“Three adults chose to provide alcohol to the minors and were arrested for providing alcohol to a minor. The adults were later released with a citation,” said Detective Craig Willison.
