The Los Angeles County sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit circulated a photo Monday of a 30-year-old man who went missing last week in Downey and sought public help in locating him.

Mark Anthony Urbina Jr. is considered an at-risk missing person, according to the sheriff’s department, which did not specify the reason for the designation other than to say his family “is very concerned for his well-being and asking for the public’s help in locating him.”

Urbina was last contacted on Thursday at 9:46 p.m. in Downey, detectives said.

He’s described as Hispanic, 6-foot-1 and 300 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and green shorts.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. To provide information anonymously via Crime Stoppers, call 800-222-TIPS or use the lacrimestoppers.org website.
