A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Monday evening in Harbor City.
Paramedics responded to the 25700 block of South Vermont Avenue, between Pacific Coast Highway and Harbor Village Drive, about 6:30 p.m. and located the victim, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash was under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
It was unclear if the victim was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash, but police said it was not a hit-and-run.
The age, gender and name of the victim were not disclosed.
