A pickup truck driver was killed Wednesday in a collision with a FedEx van in the Winnetka area.
Paramedics sent to the 7000 block of North Corbin Avenue shortly before 7 a.m. pronounced the man dead at the scene, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Information was not immediately available on the man’s identity. Reports from the scene indicated he was a man in his 50s.
Police told NBC4 at the scene the pickup was being driven north on Corbin Avenue when the driver apparently tried to make a U-turn, causing the FedEx van, which was also heading north, to broadside the truck.
The FedEx driver was not injured.
