A man killed when he hit his head against the side of a trailer in a Pomona trucking yard was identified Monday as a Louisiana resident.
Teddy Woods was 57, coroner’s Investigator Kristy McCracken said.
The incident happened a little after 11:05 p.m. Saturday at 2894 Ficus St., according to the Pomona Police Department.
The man now identified as Woods was helping guide a driver as he pulled a trailer out of a parking space. The victim was standing near or in between two empty, unhitched parking trailers. The driver accidentally hit one of the trailers, which caused the victim to lose his balance and hit his head against the side of the other trailer, police said.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
He was not intoxicated and had a valid commercial drivers license, police said. The driver was also not a California resident.
Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team asked anyone who witnessed the death to call them at 909-802-7741.
