A bomb threat called into a store in Yorba Linda Wednesday evening prompted an evacuation of the store and nearby businesses and a call to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad.
The call was received at the business in the Savi Ranch shopping center, located on Savi Ranch Parkway, north of the Riverside (91) Freeway, about 8:40 p.m., police said.
The store and others in the area were evacuated and the bomb squad conducted a full search of the shopping center, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
About 10:10 p.m., authorities determined the threat was unfounded and cleared the scene, the department said.
“Remember if you see (or hear) something, say something,” the sheriff’s department tweeted. “Let local law enforcement determine if a threat is credible.”
The name of the store was not released.
