
A fire that damaged a vacant commercial building in Pacoima Thursday morning was extinguished by firefighters in just 18 minutes.
Crews responded to the 10200 block of San Fernando Road, near Osborne Street, at 3:34 a.m. and encountered fire in a one-story, 50-foot-by-75-foot building, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A total of 26 firefighters worked to extinguish the flames and a knockdown was declared at 3:52 a.m., Prange said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
