A man was arrested in Whittier Saturday more than 16 hours after allegedly forcing his girlfriend out of her home, authorities said.
The incident began with a domestic dispute about 10:15 p.m. Friday in the 12100 block of Howard Street, said Whittier police Lt. Dominic Iraldo.
Police searched for the two for hours and discovered them walking in the area about 2:30 p.m., Iraldo said.
The woman told police she was taken against her will, he said.
The man, whose name was not yet released, was arrested and booked for suspicion of kidnapping and domestic violence, Iraldo said.
The woman did not need to be hospitalized, he said.
