A telephoned threat of an unknown nature prompted the evacuation of the SAG-AFTRA actors’ union offices in the Miracle Mile area Tuesday, but no injuries were reported.
Los Angeles police said the threat was reported at about noon, and LAPD officers and a bomb squad responded to the union’s office in the 5700 block of Wilshire Boulevard.
It was unclear exactly where the threat was received. A SAG-AFTRA spokeswoman told Deadline that the union’s offices in Los Angeles and New York were both cleared as a precaution.
“I can confirm that we have received a threat,” Pamela Greenwalt told Deadline. “We are taking it seriously. We have evacuated our Los Angeles and New York offices. We have notified law enforcement. They are on scene and investigating. We have no further information at this time.”
