A telephoned threat of an unknown nature prompted the evacuation of the SAG-AFTRA actors’ union headquarters in the Miracle Mile area Tuesday, but no injuries were reported and a police sweep of the building turned up no threats.
Los Angeles police said the threat was reported at about noon, and LAPD officers and a bomb squad responded to the union’s office in the 5700 block of Wilshire Boulevard in the Miracle Mile area.
It was unclear exactly where the threat was received. A SAG-AFTRA spokeswoman told Deadline that the union’s offices in Los Angeles and New York were both cleared as a precaution.
Los Angeles Police Department officers and bomb squad searched the building and found no sign of a threat, according to Officer Tony Im of the LAPD.
