A man who suffered a graze wound during an early morning robbery by a man and woman in Long Beach reportedly knew at least one of his attackers, Long Beach police alleged.
The robbery happened about 6 a.m. in the area of 7th Street and Cedar Avenue, police told the L.A. Daily News.
Police later found out the wounded man drove himself to the hospital, the paper reported.
According to police, the victim was in his car when the suspects approached him and tried to rob him. During the struggle, one of the suspects shot the man, who suffered a minor cut to his upper body.
There’s no word yet as to whether the suspects stole anything from the victim, the paper reported.
Police declined to say who the suspect knew or how he knew the person. The shooting was believed to be gang-related.
