One person was killed and four others injured Friday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Menifee.
The accident occurred on Railroad Canyon Road at Newport Road about 9:55 p.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
One person died at the scene and two of the four injured persons had to be freed from the wrecked vehicles. The four patients suffered moderate injuries, the department said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
The age, gender and name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
