A pedestrian was killed Monday evening when he was struck by a vehicle in Stanton.
Deputies responded to an area near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue about 9:40 p.m. and found the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver of the vehicle who struck the man remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation, the OCSD said.
It was unclear if the victim was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
