Four people were detained, but not arrested, after police responded to a report of a man with a gun in a parking structure at the Grove shopping center Wednesday evening, a Los Angeles Police Department officer said.
The entertainment news website TMZ reported the rapper Offset was among those detained.
TMZ obtained video that appears to show Offset being pushed against a wall and handcuffed by police.
Los Angeles Police Department Officer Mike Lopez told City News Service that no names of the detainees can be confirmed until arrests are made.
Officers responded to the Grove after the department received a 9-1-1 call at 7:18 p.m. and recovered two guns, Lopez said.
“Four people were detained but no one has been arrested so far,” Lopez said at 10:30 p.m. “At least two people will be arrested before the end of the night but the investigation was still ongoing.”
