Four people, including two Los Angeles police officers, were injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in the South Park area of Los Angeles as the officers were responding to a call nearby, and the civilians in the second vehicle had to be freed from the wreckage.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Vernon Avenue and Broadway at 12:40 a.m. as the officers were responding to a crash at 54th Street and Broadway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Firefighters freed two people from the second vehicle and took them and the officers to a hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
An investigation into the crash was underway.
