A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a pedestrian in Inglewood, police said Sunday.
The crash took occurred around 11:40 p.m. Sunday in the area of 84th Place and Van Ness Avenue, according to the Inglewood Police Department.
A 46-year-old woman, a Covina resident, was taken to a hospital but later died from her injuries, police said. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver fled the scene after the crash, police reported. The motorist was driving a small white sedan with front-end damage after the crash, police said.
