One person was killed Wednesday morning in a crash on the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Norwalk that left a vehicle overturned in the No.1 lane of the roadway and prompted the closure of a stretch of the freeway while crews worked to clear the scene.

The vehicle went from the slow lane across all lanes of traffic and crashed into the center divider and overturned, facing the wrong way in the No. 1 lane of the freeway, the CHP said.
