A man was killed Thursday morning in a shooting outside his residence in Artesia, and authorities sought public help to solve the crime.
The man died at the scene about 2:30 a.m. in the 11800 block of 168th Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Family members identified him to reporters as 34-year-old Carlos Martinez. The coroner’s office was withholding his name, pending notification of his next of kin.
No description was available of the suspect or suspects, who remained at large.
“After school, I … could see him, but I can’t do that anymore,” his daughter, Delilah Alvarado, told ABC7.
