A man who was found suffering from gunshot wounds in a vehicle in Bell died at a hospital and his killer was on the loose Tuesday.
Bell police officers responded to a shots fired call in the 6900 block of Crafton Avenue, near Florence Avenue, about 6:50 p.m. Monday and, upon arrival, discovered the victim in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with gunshot wounds to his upper body, according to Deputy Tracey Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which was assisting Bell police with the investigation.
The victim was treated at the scene, then taken to a hospital where he died, Koerner said.
