Authorities Friday identified a man who was fatally shot in Bell, and investigators continued their efforts to solve the crime.
The shooting was reported about 6:50 p.m. Monday in the 6900 block of Crafton Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Officers sent to the scene on a shots-fired report found Timothy Ware Jr, 23, of Montebello in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with gunshot wounds to his upper body, according to the coroner’s office and the sheriff’s department.
No arrests have been reported, and no description has been released of a suspect or suspects. Sheriff’s homicide detectives were assisting Bell police in the investigation.
