A Special Enforcement Team of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department located and stopped a stolen vehicle in La Quinta and arrested the man who was driving it, authorities said Monday.
The traffic stop occurred at 3:09 a.m. Sunday in the 43100 block of Palm Royal, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. David Aldrich said.
Joel Martinez, 30, of La Quinta was taken into custody and booked at the county jail in Indio, Aldrich said.
He remained in custody in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
