Officials Saturday released the name of a 26-year-old woman who was found shot dead in a BMW in the Vermont Square community of Los Angeles.
The woman was identified as Omie Jackson, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, which added that Jackson had no official place of residence and was possibly homeless.
Police responded to the area of 42nd Street and Western Avenue just after midnight Friday, where they located Jackson, who died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
