A worker was fatally injured Monday at a San Jacinto dairy farm.

The victim was injured — how was unclear — about 10:40 a.m. on the grounds of the Cottonwood Dairy at 2733 Cottonwood Ave., near Sanderson Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

An agency spokeswoman said paramedics reached the location within a few minutes and discovered the worker, who was not immediately identified, in full cardiac arrest. The victim could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Deputy Robyn Flores told City News Service that few details were available regarding the exact nature of the “industrial accident,” and that Cal/OSHA inspectors had been summoned to investigate.

Calls to the dairy were not immediately returned.
