A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle this evening in Nuevo and died at the scene after initially being able to get up.
The person was struck by a white SUV about 7:25 p.m. near the Ramona Expressway and Lakeview Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire Riverside.
The victim was able to get up and stumble after being struck, a person at the scene reported to the California Highway Patrol.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene, the Cal Fire Riverside reported.
