A Moreno Valley woman suspected of fatally shooting a 27-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of murder.

Kenneisha Infinity Brazile, 23, was booked into the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside on suspicion of killing Lamar Wilkins on Monday night in the 24500 block of Atwood Avenue, near Indian Street.

Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Brosche said the suspect and victim were involved in an unspecified confrontation, during which Brazile allegedly pulled a handgun and shot him in the upper body about 7:30 p.m.

Deputies converged on the location minutes later and discovered Wilkins dead. Brazile had fled the scene, Brosche alleged.

He said Central Homicide Unit detectives pieced together events and ultimately identified Brazile as the alleged shooter.

She was taken into custody without incident at a residence on Dickinson Road in the predawn hours Thursday morning.
