Authorities arrested a man suspected of assault with a deadly weapon and confiscated several guns from his Palm Desert home, sheriff’s officials said Saturday.
Deputies received a call at 9:25 p.m. Friday that a man had assaulted another person with a firearm in the 71900 block of Jaguar Way, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities did not say if anyone was injured during the alleged attack.
The suspect, Brian Burr, 47, was arrested and deputies later served a search warrant at his home, where they allegedly found and seized numerous guns and ammunition.
A gun-violence restraining order was also issued against Burr.
He was booked into the Indio Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing a weapon and making terrorist threats. He was released after posting $25,000 bail, according to jail records.
