At least one person was killed Sunday evening in a two-vehicle crash on the Gardena (91) Freeway in Carson, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on the westbound side of the freeway at Central Avenue about 8:55 p.m., the CHP reported.
There was no immediate word yet on the gender or age of the victim. The person’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
According to the CHP, a vehicle slammed into the rear of a truck and ended up wedged underneath, the CHP reported.
All westbound lanes were temporarily stopped.
There’s no information regarding any other injuries.
