A 24-year-old man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the Gardena (91) Freeway in Carson was identified Tuesday by the coroner’s office.
The crash that claimed the life of Alexander Garcia took place on the westbound side of the freeway at Central Avenue about 8:55 p.m. Sunday, according to the coroner’s office and the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP, a vehicle slammed into the rear of a truck and ended up wedged underneath, the CHP reported. Garcia died at the scene, the coroner’s office said.
All westbound lanes were temporarily stopped.
There was no information available regarding any other injuries.
