A man fitting the description of a suspect wanted for a string of attempted burglaries in the Coachella Valley was arrested early Saturday morning.
When Indio police officers responded to a burglary alarm at about 4:15 a.m. near Avenue 45 and Jackson Street, they allegedly found Christian Snook, 31 of Banning at the location.
Investigators said Snook matched the description of a man who had been caught by residential security cameras attempting to open vehicle doors in the Indio, La Quinta and Bermuda Dunes areas.
“At the time of contact Snook was in possession of multiple items that do not appear to belong to him. He was arrested on unrelated charges, pending further investigation,” police said.
Authorities asked anyone in the area who may have had possessions stolen from a vehicle or been the victim of vehicle burglary to file a police report with their local law enforcement agency.
Victims should contact Indio Police Officer Escalante at 760-574-1672 to find out if any of their stolen items have been recovered.
