A father and his two sons, one a convicted felon and the other a reputed gang member, were all out on bail Thursday, accused in various gun-related crimes in Moreno Valley.
Rafael Amador, 46, was taken into custody Wednesday in the 24100 block of Delphinium Avenue on suspicion of possessing an unregistered firearm, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
His arrest came during a search warrant that was issued following a traffic stop Tuesday in which his son Issac Amador, 20, was allegedly found driving with a 12-gauge sawed-off shotgun and arrested on suspicion of being a gang member in possession of an illegal firearm, sheriff’s officials said.
At the family’s home, deputies found three guns, magazines and ammunition, along unspecified evidence of gang affiliation.
The search warrant also yielded the arrest of Andrew Amador, 18, who was taken into custody on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
All three men were booked at the Presley Detention Center. The two sons each made $10,000 bail, while the father’s bail was not reflected in jail records.
