A man was shot to death Saturday in Compton, authorities said.
The coroner’s office identified the victim as Orlando Merino, 36, of Compton.
The shooting was reported at 12:50 p.m. in the 900 block of North Tamarind Avenue, according to Deputy Erin Liu of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The man now identified as Merino was pronounced dead at the scene, Liu said.
No suspect information was available.
