A suspected burglar arrested when deputies raided his home remained jailed Saturday.
Deputies served a search warrant Friday morning in the 900 block of East Murphy Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Inside the home, they allegedly recovered more than $2,000 worth of stolen tools from a local construction company, according to Sgt. Dan Hinderliter.
They also allegedly found heroin, methamphetamine and various guns, including an unregistered assault rifle, he said.
James Childress, 40, of Blythe was arrested at the home and booked into the Indio Jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary and various other crimes. He remained jailed in lieu of $35,000 bail.
