A man in his 30s was hospitalized in critical condition Friday morning with injuries sustained in a shooting in downtown Los Angeles.
The victim was standing near Eighth and Crocker streets about 9:25 p.m. Thursday when the suspect walked up to him and opened fire, according to Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital in critical condition, Im said.
The suspect ran off after the shooting. It was unknown if the shooting was gang-related, Im said.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
A description of the shooter was not immediately available.
