Police Friday circulated security images of a man wearing a bandanna who is being sought as a suspect in a bank robbery in the West Los Angeles area.

The crime occurred about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of Westwood Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The name of the bank was not released.

“A lone suspect entered the bank, presented a demand note and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money,” an LAPD statement said.

“Surveillance video in the area helped the detectives determine the suspect’s escape route, and showed him drive away in a dark gray full-size Ford pick-up truck,” police said. “The bed of the truck was full of junk at the time of the robbery.”

The suspect was described as Hispanic or Asian, about 40-50 years of age, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair. He was wearing a blue bandanna, gloves, and dark clothing.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call detectives at 213-486-6840; 877-LAPD-24-7; or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
