A man was hospitalized in critical condition Saturday after being shot in front of a shopping center, authorities said.
The shooting was reported at 2:24 p.m. at Whittier Boulevard and Acacia Avenue, said Lt. N. Mitri of the Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Station.
The victim reportedly was shot on the street and stumbled into the parking lot of the center, Mitri said.
Paramedics stabilized the victim at the scene and took him to County USC Medical Center, he said.
The man’s name and suspect information were not available.
