A woman was shot to death Sunday evening in Compton.
It was reported at 7:25 p.m., according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
“Deputies from Compton Station responded to a home in the 600 block of North Santa Fe Avenue regarding a call of an assault with a deadly weapon-slash-gunshot victim,” Koerner said. “Upon arriving, they discovered a female victim in her thirties suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.”
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, he said. A murder weapon and suspect could not be located and suspect information was not available.
