The coroner Saturday released the name of a man stabbed to death in Santa Clarita.
The coroner’s office identified 51-year-old Sean Driggs, a transient, as the man found stabbed about 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 23400 block of Lyons Avenue, near Apple Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Morgan Arteaga of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
A person of interest was detained at the scene of the stabbing, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.
A second stabbing was reported minutes earlier about two miles away, in the 25700 block of Hogan Drive, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Signal. That victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, the Signal reported.
It was unclear if the two stabbings were related.
