City officials reported a total of 1,298 cases of COVID-19 and 51 deaths Sunday, with no new fatalities reported in the previous 24 hours.

The number of people in the city hospitalized with the disease caused by the novel coronavirus was at 66, and about 830 people have recovered.
All of the 51 fatalities were people with underlying health conditions, according to Long Beach public health officials. Twenty-eight were men. One individual was in their 40s, three individuals were in their 50s, 10 were in their 60s, eight were in their 70s and 29 were over 80 years old, officials said.
There have been 373 positive cases confirmed at 23 of the city’s 93 long-term care facilities in the city since the start of the pandemic.
The city also announced that street sweeping enforcement will resume on Monday, after nine week of amnesty prompted by the pandemic.
