Authorities Tuesday identified a man who was fatally shot in downtown Los Angeles, and continued their efforts to solve the crime.
The shooting occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Hill Street, according to Los Angeles Police Officer Tony Im.
Jose Roberto Vargas, 22, of Los Angeles died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and the LAPD.
No suspect information was available and a motive for the attack was unknown. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call 877-LAPD-247.
