Authorities Sunday publicly identified an 18-year-old Jurupa Valley man who was fatally shot in his vehicle in Riverside.
First responders found Angel Lopez suffering from a gunshot wound about 5:40 p.m. Friday at Washington Street and Marguerita Avenue, according to the Riverside City Police Department.
Investigators later determined that Lopez was shot while seated in his vehicle two blocks away on Jacaranda Street and drove to the location where he was found before flagging down a bystander, police said.
Lopez was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
The suspect remains at large and the investigation is ongoing.
