A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy shot a man in Rosamond Wednesday afternoon while conducting an investigation in Kern County.
The shooting occurred about 4:40 p.m. in the 3400 block of 15th Street West, about six blocks from Rosamond Boulevard, according to Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
CBS2 reported that the man died at the scene and a woman was injured in the shooting, but Ortiz could confirm the report.
It was not immediately clear if the man is a suspect in the investigation.
