A man was shot and killed while sitting in a car in the unincorporated Willowbrook area near South Los Angeles and the shooter was at large Thursday morning.
Deputies from the Century Station responded to a call of shots fired in the 11700 block of Alabama Street, south of the Century (105) Freeway, about 11:10 p.m. Wednesday and found a man in the driver’s seat of a gray Toyota Camry, according to Deputy James Nagao of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene, Nagao said.
A description of the suspect was not immediately available and a motive for the shooting was not disclosed.
