An employee working at Palm Springs City Hall has tested positive for the coronavirus, officials said Tuesday.
An unspecified number of employees who were exposed to the infected employee have been sent home to self-quarantine and undergo testing, according to Perry Madison, the city’s director of human resources.
City Hall has been closed to the public since March due to the pandemic, and it remains unclear when the building will reopen. City services are still available on the city website and over the phone.
The city announced last Tuesday that a Palm Springs police officer tested positive for the virus and would self-quarantine along with another nine officers on the department’s graveyard shift.
