Two people died and five were injured in a crash in the unincorporated Sun Village area near Palmdale Thursday.
The multiple-vehicle crash was reported about 6:25 p.m. near 90th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol and Capt. Dave Parigan of the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Station 93 in Palmdale.
Two adults, who were in different vehicles, were pronounced dead at the scene, but further information about the victims was not available, Parigan said.
Five others, including four with minor injuries, were taken to a hospital for treatment, according to Parigan.
The crash caused one vehicle to turn on its roof and one to catch fire, the CHP reported. Information about what led up to the crash was not released.
The intersection of East Palmdale Boulevard and 90th Street East was closed to eastbound traffic as officers investigated the crash, according to the CHP.
