One person was critically injured Tuesday evening in a fire in a Reseda home, which had excessive storage conditions that delayed firefighters’ access.
The fire was reported about 6:55 p.m. in the 7700 block of Aura Avenue, near the intersection of Keswick Street and Tampa Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
Thirty-six firefighters were dispatched to the one-story, single-family home and extinguished the blaze in about 15 minutes, Stewart said.
One person was rescued from the home and taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to Stewart. No information about the patient was released.
Arson investigators responded to the home, as is protocol for fires that cause a significant injury, Stewart said.
