A woman was taken to a hospital Wednesday evening with second-degree burns from a house fire in Northridge.
The fire was reported about 7:15 p.m. at a one-story home in the 8900 block of Wilbur Avenue, between Nordhoff and Rayen streets, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Thirty-nine firefighters extinguished the blaze, which had extended into the home’s attic, in about 20 minutes, Humphrey said.
A woman was taken to a hospital with second-degree burns, and no other injuries were reported, according to Humphrey. Further information about the victim was not released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
