Southbay Pavillion, a partially enclosed shopping mall in Carson, says it has closed temporarily as a result of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s latest mandates.
SouthBay Pavilion at 20700 S. Avalon Blvd. opened in 1973 as Carson Mall. Its anchor tenants are IKEA, J.C. Penney and Target. A space formerly occupied by Sears is being redeveloped.
“We did not see this coming but as we said before, we will get through this together. Thank you for your patience,” the management said in a statement.
