Three apparent drug overdose victims were taken to a hospital in grave condition Tuesday afternoon after being found underneath a freeway underpass in Studio City.

Fire crews were dispatched about 1:30 p.m. to the area beneath the Ventura (170) Freeway underpass near the 11100 block of Moorpark Street, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Rescue crews performed CPR on the three adults, who appeared to have overdosed on an unknown drug, Humphrey said. They were not breathing and had no pulse when paramedics took them to a hospital, according to Humphrey.

Firefighters searched the area, including tents at a nearby homeless encampment, for more victims, but none were found, Humphrey said.
