An Amazon delivery van driver apparently left the keys in the ignition Sunday while dropping off a package in south Los Angeles and someone stole the van.
The theft was reported about 1:30 p.m. around 85th Street and Vermont Avenue, said Sgt. Rick Rodgers of the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Station.
The van was found empty about an hour later at 59th Street and Normandie Avenue, Rodgers said. About 40 packages for delivery were inside the van when it was taken.
There were no injuries and no suspect information was available.
